Encouragement for all of you serving in Pregnancy Resource Centers (and all the other titles you use)!
2026 has been the first year where I have been doing fundraising speaking, keynotes, and comedy as my primary job. If you didn't know I am the Director of an awesome little ministry called Guardian Angels of SWFL. We provide hope and homes for children and families in foster care. I have now gone to part-time at that position. (Yes, my life is pretty awesome and I thank God for that every day.)
After doing fundraising speaking in 30 states, I have learned a few things. The biggest thing that I have learned? You all are awesome! It's insane. My job is to fly around this beautiful country of ours and meet the BEST people living it. People who are serving God by serving those people who find themselves in situations that are way too scary and seemingly hopeless enough that they break down and look for help. And what do you all do? You meet them right where they are and love them, non-judgementally, through the darkest times in their lives. You give them the real hope that comes from Jesus in a world where people are selling them and teaching them a false hope.
Not only that, you smile and love through it all. I have seen some of the greatest teams of people serving from the Timothy Fields of Washington State (that's a real thing) to the shores of the Carolinas - and everywhere in between - like the border of Oklahoma and Kansas. I have boarded a plane in Fargo, ND in sub zero weather (with some dude wearing flip flops) and excited a plane in west Texas.
What's my point? There are tens of thousands of you incredible people in our country that are making a real difference. You are showing people the love of Jesus and they are responding to you. They wouldn't, and haven't, responded to anyone else. It has been the honor of my life, so far, to get up and speak to your donors and tell them to give you even more money because of the incredible work that you have done and that you are doing.
For all the terrible news there is, YOU are the good news. You may spend a lot of your time wondering if you are doing enough and if anyone cares. I do. I've been able to see it from California to Minnesota to Lousiana and back again. Keep going. God sees you!
